97-03 tuner/programmer?
Does anyone have experience with a tuner/programmer on these 97-03 trucks? I've got an 01 5.4 I've been thinking about getting one for it. Are they worth the money? What is a good brand? Thanks for reading

i think they are only worth it if you have modded your modular in any way like exhaust intake and electric fan. but everyone says not to **** with the transmission part for the stiffer shifts. it just causes problems. but really unless youve done work theres no point.

I plan on doing an electric fan like I did on my old truck and I've already deleted my factory muffler thinking of deleting the rear cats and putting a dynomax bullet or another straight through style muffler.

I have a superchips Vivid Lynq programmer on my 4.6 & it made a huge difference. I'm very happy with it. I only have flowmasters & K&N air filters.
My daughter installed the same programmer on her 03 excursion 5.4 & liked it.
