Bypass Hose

I am changing the manifold on my truck. It is a 1970 429.

Is the water pump to manifold bypass hose just a small section of 5/8" heater hose or is it something special?

Thanks for the help!

If it is the same as my the 360 in my 1970 F350 then yes. I replaced mine with a short piece of heater hose. That was over two years ago and it has held up.

Yup, just a short piece of heater hose will work great like Abe said. There is a part number for the original though. Seems to me I got one of those at Napa several years ago when I built my 429.

Thanks guys. Yeah I saw there was a part number for it, that's why I thought I should double check.
