Hose question

I am going to replace my 2 heater hoses and reservoir to tank hose. There are a couple of special connectors I noticed. Are you guys putting them back on or using hose clamps? Thanks

I have an e99 and have never replaced mine. Looked into it for maintanace a while back. If you use clamps you will have to make sure you get the hose and clamp far enough back to get behind the retainer on the heater core pipe. I think it is Gates that offers the retro fit to do away with the quick connectors. Look into it at the Irish parts house.

I used hose clamps when I replaced my heater hoses. Looks like you can get either type (quick connect or std) hoses from rockauto.

Well I changed them out today. Bought the goofy connectors from napa ,didn't like them and used hose clamps instead. It's done , hoses didn't look bad for 173,000 now I have a piece of mind.
