Shop recommendation for diagnosing

Never really taken any of my cars to shops, always done the work myself, especially on my 3 explorers. I have a 1991 BMW that I've dealt with shops a little bit, and it took me awhile to find trustworthy shops in the area, so I come here asking for recommendations for my 2002 Explorer Limited 4.6 v8.

I have a ticking noise, at idle, and I assume at speed, that I just don't have time to diagnose right now. I had rod knock on my 02 xlt v6, this sound isn't that, it almost sounds like lifter tick, although its a little louder than what I think that would sound like.

Once I get a confirmed diagnosis I can probably find time to fix it myself to save the loot, but I want someone to pinpoint the problem - Any shops in the Greater Boston, or even better Merrimack Valley that could take a look at it, that is trusted by the community?

I have a lift at my fathers house, and I've swapped engines in my BMW, so I'm not stranger to mechanical work, but I just moved to the city, and won't be driving my BMW until the snow/salt is off the roads.

If anyone on here wants to make a quick buck helping me diagnose, I'd be more than happy to entertain that
