48 F1 Interior Door Hole Locations

A little help please. The Previous Owner (PO) was going to install solenoid operators on the door latches and welded up the holes. I want to install the Altman bear claw latches and use the stock door handle to actuate it. Two problems. One, I don't have the door handle/latch regulator and two I have to drill new holes for the regulator. I've attached two pictures one showing my door with the welded up holes and a second one showing the stock locations of the holes.

Could someone measure the holes for these holes from the center line of the door handle hole to the center line of the three retaining screw holes and also the hole sizes. Would you also measure the distance from the center line of the window crank hole to the door handle hole.

Is the door handle hole the same size as the window crank hole?

Does anyone know if any door handle regulator from a previous year truck or even the 53-55 F100 have the same bolt pattern? The aftermarket is making replacements for everything but the 48-52 trucks.

Thanks ahead of time for your help.
Philip

I'll dig one of my doors for my '49 F1 out of my storage shed this afternoon and take measurements and pics with a ruler.

Doug,
Thanks so much. I really do appreciate the effort.

I did figure out that the 53-55 has a splined shaft compared to the 48-52 square shaft. So I'll have to may be use a door regulator from an earlier truck.

Went out and measured on my door. Here's a drawing of what I found:

I can take some pics if you like, Philip. The door handle hole is 3/4"

Doug,
No, I don't need the pictures. Your drawing and notes are sufficient.

Thank You so very much for your help and efforts.

Sincerely,
Philip

Doug,
Your dimension of 13-5/16 in. is incorrect. What is the correct dimension?

Better yet, what is the dimension between the door handle hole and the window crank hole?

Thanks,
Philip

His dimension of 13-5/16" is correct to the inside door handle. The window crank hole is 6" further forward. Measured with rubber boots in place, best I can estimate.

Just went out and checked again for you Philip. Either I was dyslexic reading my tape measure or I typed it wrong. The dimension is really 13 3/16" . Sorry, my window cranks are still in place, so I don't have that dimension.

Doug, Ross,
Oops, my bad. I had assumed the two holes at 13-5/16" were for the window regulator between the door handle and the window handle. I realize NOW that that measurement was to the two screws that hold the latch at the other side of the door. My PO had welded these up also so I was not seeing the holes to which you were measuring.

Thanks, Ross, that dimension will be helpful also.

Thanks again guys,
Philip
