Ok so I spent about 5 hours today on this interior and I am about ready to rip it all back out in the morning.
It is not fitted well at all, plus in the picture it had a wear pad on the driver side. When I first pulled out the OEM mat the ACC looked weak, but I figured I could make it work with the help of a good heat gun. EVERY side had to be significantly cut down. I had to stop after 30 minutes of trying to get the 4x4 shifter to fit correctly. Gas pedal also hits the flooring.
Can I still get new OEM? Those are definitely precision vacuum formed and all holes are punched. This is a maintenance truck so I can not put in carpet. Its a 2004 model.
Any reason you couldn't have done this with bedliner material? I know several guys that roll it in their jeeps and broncos.
This is a company truck I am working on for my dad, it just would not look finished enough for him.
I have decided to try and clean up the old one. There was a chunk missing from the back where the PO mounted mobile electronics, and additional holes where a computer mount was bolted to the floor. Also, the dealer that sold it to us sprayed it a bit with regular black spray paint... Think I will try and patch the holes with pieces of this new mat, then paint the whole thing with the SEM vinyl paint I hear so much about.
Bottom line though, dont waste your money on the ACC vinyl. I have heard bad things about there jeep kit. Wish Bed Rugs would make a kit for these trucks!
What a pain in the ***! I hate working on something for hours only to undo it all. Sorry it didn't work out, but at least you didn't just say **** it and leave the ACC in and call it a day. Post some pics of the old (but fixed) stuff put back in

I plan on it! Yeah my dad told me to quite 30 minutes into it, but I just kept thinking it would work. The OEM stuff was not that bad, but it was $160 or so for the new stuff so I thought why not.
If the gas peddle worked correctly and the 4x4 shifter was easier to bolt down I probably would have left it. I wonder who made these things for ford. must be a mold somewhere.
I restored both a 84 f250 and a 92 w350 and bought ACC floor vinyl. Both were the same chit fitment. Never again ACC. You lost me as a customer for good. Sorry

Did help my dad put ACC carpet in his 1965 corvette about 15 years ago and it looks just like original. I know I heard guys talking about there CJ/ YJ/ TJ wrangler flooring and that it sucks. I wish Bed Rug would make super duty flooring.
Ended up power washing the oem mat, using the ACC insulation, and a flat square piece to patch a spot behind the seat. The rear patch does not look that great, but at least your eye is not drawn to a bare metal spot anymore.
Man!!! do I wish I would have done a search to find this post PRIOR to donating money to ACC. I googled videos of how to install their product and there were tons of them of course, but only the successful effortless ones. Suspect, right?
I sent these pictures to them suggesting their form is not correct for the yr,make, model that was sent. They replied, based on the pictures, it is the right one and implied it was my skill level that was the issue. ha? I guess I could try watering the trans tunnel for a few days and see if it will grow into this flooring.

You would thinks after all these years the would get their act together! Not. A friend of mine recently bought a trunk mat for a 69 Super Bee. Fit like crap. Contacted ACC and told him that the 1/4 panels were not installed correctly. Its an all original car with original 1/4's. He was charged a restocking fee.
This is pretty common. I've worked in auto body and interior shops and have never done an aftermarket carpet that actually fit without some work. The edges usually need to be trimmed so it lays flat and fit's under the door trim/dash/rear seat/panels/etc then the holes will need to be opened up with a razor if they don't line up exactly. Once it's fitted, it'll take a couple weeks of use/heat for the last little wrinkles to settle out. Fold the edges back 6-12", center it in the cab and work from the center out trying to get it to lay as flat as possible. when you get to the edges, trim as much as needed to get it to lay flat and still fit under and Dash/trim/etc Then go back and slice it anywhere it need more clearance around holes/brackets/etc.

Shameful, right? I sure hope the word gets out so more people know before wasting their money. I did several ACC searches before I ordered mine but never thought to add "issues", "trouble" or "problems" to my search. Google must have a way that so it doesn't pull up anything bad unless you are looking for the bad. I encourage all of us to post, comment and add youtube videos showing how poor their products are to educate others before it's too late for them as well. Thanks for the confirmation that I am not alone.
