2008 Step Tailgate cup missing
So I have a 2008 Step Tailgate for my F250. Came with it but was off at the time of purchase. The kind of tailgate with the tension rod. After doing some rust control on the bed I went to put the tailgate on and somehow the cup that receives the tension rod and hinge from the bed...the cup is missing. Left tailgate side
Been searching the web but can't find a replacement part. Beside buying a new tailgate any ideas? The bracket as you can see is welded on. Also on the right side is this bracket, circled in the picture, s this stock or something added?

If I recall correctly, that is supposed to be welded on. It really looks like it was removed for some reason or another. You MAY be able to buy a new hinge from Ford to replace it...I can't remember with these older trucks if that is possible or not.
