2004 6.0 lariat
The compass on my overhead console has gone dead or at least doesn't show anything other than sometimes calibrating
All other functions miles to empty etc work fine just the compass feature
Any ideas ?

send the circuit board to Circuit Board Medics, they can fix it. They are a sight sponsor, use Vendor directory in the upper right corner to find them, just to the left, under your user name.

Hi there, MM; what part of the country are you in and how cold is it? Two years ago I was working in Michigan right after the "Great Polar Vortex" destroyed the idea of "Global Warming". Anyway it was colder than a witches toenail and the compass in my '05 got stuck in one direction and did not move until I got out of that winter wonderland. Of-course, that may not be the problem with your compass but if you're in below freezing temperatures it could be.
