Where did this come from?

I pretty much blew through a speed bump as I cleared it I felt something hit my right foot. Reached down to remove what ever it was so it wont get in my way of manipulating hte pedals, and this is what I found. It had more grease then but still.. what is this for? Steering wheel and pedals feel fine no slop. Dunno if it is relevant but the knee bolster was off at the time.

IDK but it looks important. LOL. Sorry. Something steering column related. Maybe try and find a break down of the steering column online and see if you can match that part up. B.

Its called an "Automatic transmission shift select lever" on Ebay. part 7D282 on this exploded view.

Now to try and put it back in :-)
Plus side is it still shifts but definitely need to get to it quick before more comes down.

found a youtube video showing that part. looks like you got some work to do.

at 5:58 he is taking it out.
at 8:40 he is installing

hopefully you can find that pin

Holy crap definitely got some work to do! Plus side it looks like it acts as a stop for the shift lever.
Im gonna order those bushings since I'm gonna be in there.
I guess I'll order my stub axle and other little things take a couple days off work to fix all the stuff I need to at once.
