I was wondering how people have disabled there auto level suspension and if there are any side effects. I want to put on aftermarket shocks but am unsure if I can or if the rear end will sag with regular shocks. Any advice?
Yes, as I understand it you will experience a definite drop in ride height with the system turned off or disabled.
I have a 97 5.0 EB that just had the passenger front shock die on me. It is pitiful as the passenger front is about 3 to 5 inches lower that it was. I expect that you would experience a similar fate.
The only way I know of is to replace the springs and the shocks. But I am eager to listen to other approaches...
