Dave:
Go to the Auveco website. They have a little program you can use to download their catalog of extensive automotive fasteners. I keep that catalog on my desktop. You can't buy direct, but once you find the part number you can search it online from fastener specialists or even Amazon. It will come in very handy. If you don't want to go that route, send me a photo of the clip and I'll look for you.

Make sure you get a small roll of Butyl tape. If and when I sell a set of trim, I try to include enough tape to do both doors.
The thinnest I have found was 1/16" If this is still to thick you can flatten it.
A small piece on each clip does the trick, no rattling no loosing clips.

gangstakr; appreciate the information! Not sure if same/similar to product mentioned, I have an excess of the 3M spaghetti thin stick caulk that I placed around each of the clips, did not use much but perhaps enough to prevent the clips from fully seating; I assume the original clips have lost their spring capability? When I removed the door panel I found a similar type product was used, intend comparing the two for the easiest application, now just a matter of waiting for the clips.

Again, I thank you for the info.!!

Don't forget that one of the 378586 clips attaches directly to the vinyl trim panel itself and not to the anodized aluminum trim pieces. Just one per side. It's toward to front edge in the middle vertically. It keeps the panel from flapping around along the leading edge.

Appreciate the input!!
