Good morning I have a question hopefully this isn't a stupid question I recently replaced the timing chains and timing gears on my 1999 Ford f150 I am Not sure if I put the crankshaft positioning sensor trigger back on my truck it wont start but if I use starting fluid it will attempt to start if that trigger is not on would it attempt to start thank you for any information my motor is a 4.6 Romeo engine w code

Logically if you can get it to sputter on starting fluid...then it would have to do more with fuel delivery than spark. have you checked all the fuses and relays for the fuel delivery?
Does it back fire or attempt to run smooth?
As to if you put everything back on correctly...can't hazard a guess for yes or no. the only way is to take things back apart and double check timing is correct
Yeap checked every thing i took everything back apart i the crankshaft position sensor trigger wasn't there so I put a new one on and I'll find out in about an hour or two different runs I'll keep you updated thank you very much
