I can't tell you if it's a good deal or not as I don't know the market for 2wd trucks. Here that truck would be well below market value due to nobody wanting to buy it. Looks clean, miles are okay.
Here it's hit or miss. I live in between the city and the country and not many folks need 4 wheel drive. We mostly just get bad rain every now and again.
I'd like to see it more down in the 17k range. I'm not certain many folks have plain taste such as myself. I like that it's a blank slate so I can choose the bed cover, wheels, stereo etc.
After having found out AutoCheck has incorrect information on my vehicle and that they won't change it despite me having 100's of pages of documents; pictures, estimates, final repairs, insurance company backing my statement etc. I take what I find with a grain of salt. Though I do think it offers good guidance and it alerts me to look for original parts, over spray, incorrect gaps on hoods/fenders etc.
For instance my guess is it has something to do with the back end, hard to tell with the photos so small, but it looks like the gaps on the tailgate are off; larger on the left, smaller on the right.
Just gonna throw this out there, not sure if it matters to you or not. And FWIW I'm not trying to say anything bad about the engine I this truck. Just want to make sure the you know what you are looking at. So you don't think that it's something it's not, and end up disappointed with you decision. But just so you know that truck has the 3.7 n/a v6. And not the 3.5 ecoboost v6.
Yes, thank you! I haven't read much about the ecoboost engines, but it seems they might cause issues; I've just seen a lot of threads about them.
I like that it's a V6 and flex fuel - better MPG and I don't haul anything except lumber and that's in small quantities. Not to say I wouldn't ever haul some small trailer to maybe buy some tile, but I figured the engine would probably be big enough for that...I hope?
It's a 2010, but it's a 4.6L and it seems like what I read is the 5.4L were pains in the bum?
And here's the sticker for this one.
I would never consider this truck. It has the 4.6L 2V engine, which isn't a bad thing by itself. But the 2V engines only came with the antiquated 4R75E transmission that's nowhere close to the 6R80 that the 3V 4.6L and all '11+ trucks came with. Get one with the 6R80, you'll be glad you did.
Thanks for this! I don't quite speak the lingo, unless it's c4 or c6 transmission, but I'm gonna have to believe what you say. I've got some time anyway while I wait to do the impossible of correcting a CarFax so by the time that is done, i'll be dead and a 2011 will be dirt cheap. d: Nah, but hopefully in the next few months...maybe?
Both look good to me. The window sticker link isn't working for some reason, so you can plug the VIN into FordEtis home page to get the as-built information.
