That first scratch hurts the most.

Just like the title says That first scratch hurts.

The wind blew over a sled leaned against the garage and landed right on my truck. I went and washed it and pretty sure it'll buff out.

Just had to get it off my chest. My last truck got a lot of little dings and scratches over the years. I keep my vehicles a long time. This is my 3rd ford truck.

Most of that will buff out. What's impressive is that it looks like there is no dent at all.

The first mark always seems to be on the drivers side , see it every time you get in .

I would tend to agree with that, but damn my last F250 had the snot beat out of the passenger side.

Meguiars makes an excellent scratch remover. Maybe that would take care of the pain. Best of luck to you.

my '14 has all kinds of nicks, scratches, and now a serious dent; most of it on the driver's side.

most of the scratches are not that noticable unless you're just paying attention to the paint job but we call it a new style of Arizona pin stripping (its from the tree branches rubbing it); people insist the trees won't hurt my truck LOL... not doing that with the '16 too nice of a truck for that!

And how'd you get a baby blue? I thought those weren't available in the '15-'16 model years?

Bummer! Yes, until that scratch the truck is perfect and I cringe with the thought that something may hit it. But afterward there's the realization that it has happened and will happen again, so I don't cringe quite as much.

with all the cams the '15 has if you get it with the option... its too bad you can't record too; record the license plate that backed into you .

Hopefully this helps others with the same thing happening. I park far away from everyone and never fails someone parks right next time me really close. In my last truck I was bumped while parked 3 times in one week last year one time I was standing there and asked them what they plan to do. They ignore and walk away. I was hoping for a "I am sorry" I was standing in front of my truck one time and about got knocked over when someone rear ended me in a parking spot. They walked by me and said nothing. It amazes me how often this kind of thing happens.

My scratch is all my fault. I sent a text to a friend who got a new truck and a month later ripped the front bumper off. I got a text back saying NOW it is a truck

Ricky Sorry to hear about your mishap! Been through it on nearly every vehicle I have owned.

A day later it is not so hard. Now I just need to get my 01 sold.

Several years ago the wind blew my kid's basketball hoop over and the steel hoop landed center in the hood of my 2004 Expy. I was sick to my stomach.

But low and behold, the dealer changed the hood and blended the paint throughout the front clip and all was better.

I've been lucky so far with this truck, but I feel your pain. About 2 weeks after I bought the 04 F150 that I traded for this one, I hit a deer doing about 45 mph. It took out the whole front end from the hood and fenders down.

The only marks on the paint on this one are in the bed from sliding kayaks in and out.

^^ but you could get a spray in bed liner and that wouldn't happen (they even come in different colors now).
