Hi guys, do we have some IDI guys in Florida? I might fly there in two weeks and would love to get some parts home, however I would need some help getting them. It is still big unknown whether I go or not, business trip, but just asking in advance.

Too bad dana 50 wont fit in the luggage, but steering box, glow plugs, IP will. It is still on the water if I go or not, things change every day and the decision is going to be the last moment of course.

I do not think so, I brought Jonathan timing kit from Europe with water pump for VW Jetta tdi and it was ok, yes probably the reason why they opened up the checked luggage but nobody ever complained. The funny part is you go almost naked when departing from London to US, and when I returned from Phoenix I took the shoes off, started to pull the belt and the guy there was amazed, shouting What the hell are u doing. I said getting ready for security check, he just made a gesture and let me go. I gues I am not a terrorist profile guy.

 

i bet that will change when you try to board a plane with what looks like blasting caps in your luggage!!

 

Lol, i have to share this...

I'm an IT nerd for a living. I used to travel a lot. On one occassion, I had to carry a computer power supply unit in my carry on. Wow, that was a fun search.

 

Dana swap on the airplane. Swap it back when you land. I think its doable lol.
