Trailer light issue

Trailer light issue
Trying to get my running lights going on my trailer hookup everything else is working replaced all the fuses and cleaned the ground wire any ideas I really don't have the extra loot for the fix at the moment ps 2000 Ford F-350 7.3 disconnected from the main wire harness up under the bed 
nothing there anybody got an idea

Well, if it were me I would be using a test light and trying to trace back the harness to see where the fault/break is.
I know you said you checked the fuses, but tell us which ones you checked and did you visually inspect them or test them for continuity? From what I am seeing, fuses 1, 3 and 4 under the hood are for the trailer plug.

Fuse 8 also I actually replaced all of them to see if that would Chang things but nothing should I put my pen light in the fuse spot to see if power is there or is that a no no not sure I'm not an expert but I am mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid to do the work just don't want to f stuff up I traced the wires back as far as I could and couldn't find a break that's when I Checked the ground and that wasn't it I'm so boggled
