Trying to get my running lights going on my trailer hookup everything else is working replaced all the fuses and cleaned the ground wire any ideas I really don't have the extra loot for the fix at the moment ps 2000 Ford F-350 7.3 disconnected from the main wire harness up under the bed nothing there anybody got an idea
Thanx
Well, if it were me I would be using a test light and trying to trace back the harness to see where the fault/break is.
I know you said you checked the fuses, but tell us which ones you checked and did you visually inspect them or test them for continuity? From what I am seeing, fuses 1, 3 and 4 under the hood are for the trailer plug.
Maybe you can find some useful information in this thread...
Fuse 8 also I actually replaced all of them to see if that would Chang things but nothing should I put my pen light in the fuse spot to see if power is there or is that a no no not sure I'm not an expert but I am mechanically inclined so I'm not afraid to do the work just don't want to f stuff up I traced the wires back as far as I could and couldn't find a break that's when I Checked the ground and that wasn't it I'm so boggled
