No Brakes !!
I have a little brake issue that you may be able to assist me with -
I have a 89 4x4 Bronco II that just loss about 90 % of its brake pressure at the pedal. I have no visible leaks along any line, and I am not losing fluid. Despite this, my pedal pressure is almost zero. At first, I assumed that the master cylinder was the culprit, allowing bypass when pedal is applied. While inspecting the M. cylinder, I pulled the vac. hose that runs from the intake to the brake booster body... instant pedal resistance resulted. In fact, I could not even move the pedal against the resistance. Over the course of the 3 years I have owned the truck, the rear antilock light has intermittently illuminated. The light currently comes on 1-2 seconds after starting the truck, and stays on....
Any ideas what the problem may be?
Thanks, Bobby
Thanks for the info... I printed the RABS testing info from the tech link. I will give it a try and see what is happening....
I really hope it is just the MC, looks like that would be about a 2 hr / $50 driveway project... I will post my results after I run the diagnostic...
Bobby
