As I continue to get familiar with my 2012 SCREW Lariat 4x4, 5.0 .... which has 'drive' options of
2 HI
4 Auto
4 HI
4 LOW
I was wondering if the 'control trac screen' (I cant recall the exact steps to navigate to this option)
(see attachment .... its not a perfect match to what I see in my truck, but closest thing I could find with a quick search)
is telling my which wheels are 'in drive mode' while I'm in the
4 Auto setting ?
There seems to be a 'hyphen/dash' symbol that illuminates as power is being routed to the wheels, and then 'disappear' when there is no power going to that wheel. Is that correct ?
There also seems to be a '+' symbol next to each wheel - what is that telling me, if anything ?
I could not find any documentation in the owner's manual for what this display is conveying to me - feel free to point me to any online docs that explain this.
........ and here is a picture from my truck, trying to show the 'dashes' (circled in red) ... which seem to fluctuate up/down (in addition to not displaying at all if not under load it seems).
If I'm interpreting the dashes correctly (ie wheels engaged), it would seem odd to be in 4WD mode at 55 MPH on a dry road.
