I'm going to look at a leftover 2015 f350 tomorrow, it's a crew short bed lariat. Sticker is $61,630. What do you think is the lowest price i should shoot for? I have x plan pricing through my job if that helps at all. It's black on black, which isn't my first choice, but I've had black trucks before and will do it again for the right price.
$48,000-$49,000 ish range. However keep in mind that Ford Truck Month Promotion will be starting about the 17th of this month. Incentives/rebates should improve I would expect.
Anymore you can usually beat X plan at just about any time. Being a leftover they are going to beat it by a lot before any rebates. Being that highly optioned you should get quite a bit more than $10K off MSRP.
I checked a few dealers in my area after reading this thread and there are no 2015 SD trucks left over at the few dealers I checked. Plenty of F150s, kind of a crazy amount of those.
I agree with the previous posts, without much trouble, you should get into the upper 40s. If the dealer does not want to deal, your jacket is the most important tool you have, along with a willingness to leave the dealership without a deal. When the dealer says, "That's the best we can do" and the price is still not acceptable, start putting your jacket on. Give the salesperson your phone number and leave if you have to. Plenty of follow-up calls and deals made after the initial meeting. Most good deals begin with putting your jacket on. Don't just sit there and let the dealer beat you up to their price.
On the other hand, if the dealer tosses out a great price, you may need to simply jump on it. My local dealer knows who I am and his first price is a good price. He hasn't played games with me the last few times I purchased something.
Before I bought my 2015 cc lb lariat drw I priced f-250's at five or six dealers, this was back in july. The highest price I got was about 60k, but several offered them right at 47k. I also got a price for a king ranch cclb 4x4 for right at 50k, so there are better deals out there, you just have to find them. I was also coming back from huston to new orleans and stopped at a small ford dealer off of i-10 in the middle of nowhere and was offered a silver cclb 4x4 lariat 250 for 50k including tax out the door. You have to be able to walk away and look around. Good luck.
Quick question about buying a leftover, if in find it on fords inventory how do I find what dealer its at all it says is mass dealer or can I contact my local dealer and have them get it? I know they will but will they give me the same of the sticker if it's a locate truck?
I've found you're much better off to deal at the dealer who has the truck. In Texas, the Autonation dealer couldn't dive as deep into the holdback and spins on a truck that was a dealer trade vs a truck that was initially delivered to their lot. It was about a 2k difference in discount.
2015 S.D.'s are advertised all over here for 13k under msrp. That is a good indication that you should get that at a min. and possibly more depending on your negotiations and the dealer.
I sent a request to my local dealer of the truck. Maybe Incan get info from them about what dealer its at. There's no other way to find out the dealer just says in what state the truck is in, sly move on fords end. I guess I could sea h every dealer in mass then search their inventory lol. The truck I want says special order on it which I find weird.

Someone ordered it and then either backed out or their credit sucked. Guess they could have all died?
It is usually easy to find which dealer. Search on the Ford site, there is a wider area option that is a little hard to find. When you find a truck of interest, copy the VIN number from the window sticker and put that into Google. Very likely it will pop up on that dealer's website. That's how I found mine. I agree you are usually better off dealing with the people who actually have it.
One of the Ford incentives is Ford Credit, you must have them finance it. For long enough to get the first bill, about 10 days or so. Then you can pay it off with cash or a refinance. (This was suggested to me by the selling dealer). I was advised to wait for the paperwork from Ford, you will pay a minimum finance charge (about the first month's interest). Keep in mind that when you refinance through your bank, the refi rate is often higher than the new purchase rate, and you may end up paying a little more (though less than Ford Credit...).
