Hi all,

I have an issue where I keep killing my battery by forgetting to unplug things from my cigarette lighter. 99.9% of these things are things I don't need once the vehicle is off, so I'd like to rewire my port to only be powered when the key is on, or at least on accessory.

Has anyone done this? What would be the best source to tie into?

I wired 3 extra power outlets in my Excursion to a lighted switch so I always notice it's on when I park and remember to turn it off. Good luck.
