OK so Ive searched and seen some expensive kits out there that I could not verify if they would work for my rig or not but I've been looking around. I have a 94 e350 with a 460 that I tow a heavy enclosed race car trailer with....its belongs to my work so not really mine I'm just free to do what I want within reason to it. So I seen in 96 ford still had a 460 in that van with an e4od tranny like I got. I can get a maf sensor for a 96 and a brand new pcm from rock auto. I know there will be more things to do other than add a couple wires for a maf since the new ecm is obdII but will this setup not work?. The current mods to the rig at this point has prevented me from killing the truck too bad but it needs more. I made my own cold air intake. Its bigger than anything ever sold lol. I'll take pics you guys will like it. The cat went bad so its removed and replaced with a straight pipe. And since that's gone I took off the air injection. I run a 170 tstat in it with 15/50 Mobil 1 race oil in the engine. Before I did all this I was running full throttle while towing. Period. Now I can get rolling but like I said I need some more. I think it has it but I'm not getting the proper mixture response a maf can provide. I am a race car mechanic but I don't play with obdI fords. Any help will be appreciated and I am more than capable of performing any modification or fab work needed.
Hey just an update. According to my service info my 94 and the 96 pcm have the same 60 pin connector. Pin arrangement might need some playing with but I think this might be worth trying.
