Need some help..
My 05 stx sc 4.6 4x4 seems to be killing batteries.But factory one lasted 7 years.
Now 3 die hard golds in 3 years..dead.Sears said sight drain each time free replacement (2)..but cause not diagnosed as they didn't seem to want to find out.
Soo,,Just got auto zones 3 yr 6500 amp one installed...left on vacation 4 weeks,battery was at 10.2 volts.
I get an unusual very slight popping/crackling noise when engine is off..even for days..Related??
No mods or other work ..truck has 50k miles.runs looks good
Any thoughts??

daughter has a 06 that does the same thing. No time to trouble shoot right now. It sets in the garage for 4 weeks at a time. I bought a 1 amp trickle charger for $10. and put that on it last month... never take it off.
