I attempted to search but I wasn't able to find an answer so here it goes.
2005 Ex with 4x4 that will not turn on (no dash light, no engagment at all, manual hubs locked). I believe I have a bad transfer case shift motor as when the switch is turned to 4x4 high it attempts to put the truck into 4x4 three times (you can hear it from under the truck) and then stops attempting. I already ordered another so I'm crossing fingers that that's it.
My question is which way do I turn the transfer case to engage 4x4 manually? Also, can you feel when it is turned to 4x4 high? Like an indent or a stop point in turning?
Unfortunately I need 4x4 to go get the part I need today since of course it stopped working when snow arrived. I may just drive carefully and in 2wd.
Figured it out. If anyone ever needs to know you go counter clockwise to put it into 4x4 high and clockwise to go into 2wd. The installation procedure requires you to put the transfer case into 4x4 high.
She's once again a snowbeast instead of a 4 ton 8 passenger version of my Trans Am!
