While plans are still being made and details being finalized, we can start making our plans to attend the 8th annual event in Newport TN. The main event will be at the Cocke County Fairgrounds on July 16th. Everything will be similar as it has in the past with the KOA being our host campground. If the main event is the 16th, then I'm assuming that we're looking at July 14-17th, or that Thursday through Sunday- is that correct?

 

The event is all we advertise publicly. All the other stuff is for the FTE group in and around the campground. Some are there all week, I arrive on Thursday. The events at the campground usually start on Thursday and most folks head out on Sunday.

 

I wish I could get one of these events set up in my area, that would be cool to go to!! Sounds like fun too!

Yeah man. I went to the first one, it was 8.5 hours for me pulling the camper. I left after work Thursday and drove all night with the wife and kids. There were guys from Connecticut, New York, Hell, even Duckfan came from Northern Cali, not to mention Clay and Kristen drove all the way from Oregon. You should go Jaime. It is a blast.

 

I think I might try and make it, 3.5 hours...sounds like a good day trip to me...now to get the encouragement to get the TC done, not looking forward to that part...but its got to get done

 

Must be a sign that I go, since I just bought our first Travel Trailer this past weekend.

 

I hope you all will make plans to attend. Each year it gets a little better and hopefully more fun. Campground is filling up fast but plenty of hotels very near.

 

I plan to make reservations at the campground tomorrow if any are left. We just bought a new Travel Trailer and can't wait to put it on the road. What are some of the events that are there? Dyno?

April reserved our site last week. We're in site 36..I think. We're staying Thursday through Sunday. Can't wait.

 

Just made my reservation. Didn't get my site number but looking forward to our first RRE event. We are in site 38
