98 explorer 5spd slave cylinder replacement

98 explorer 5spd slave cylinder replacement
need to replace the slave cylinder in my 98 explorer 4.0 5spd 4x4. is it easier to pull the tcase off the trans and then pull the trans. or just pull the motor out?

I would say its easier to pull the trans out. If you have a trans jack, leave the t-case attached to the trans and strap the trans to the jack. That's how I used to do it when I worked at the ford dealer.
I bet I replaced ten of those slave cylinders a month between explorers and rangers.
