Hi all, i've been looking at a 64 f100, 60 f100 and then 68 f100, decided on the 69 f100. i had a 69 when i was in college and liked it. what is a good tire that has a bit of an original appearance? how does the latteral trim on the ridge come off? also there is inside door trim that goes around the removable inner panel, where would one order the trim?
The trim on the "bump" (Hence "Bumpside"), is attached by a variety of clips and retainers.
Before taking it off, I suggest obtaining parts catalogs from the likes of Dennis Carpenter Reproductions, National Parts Depot, Mac's Antique Auto Parts, and LMC Truck. They catalogs contain diagrams that illustrate the trim attachments and much more. Visit the Tech Info Compilation linked in my signature for links and much, much more.
plans are restoration, had a 69 in college and really liked it, i'll be here for the long haul, i belong to tractor, outboard and atv sites, here are some of my projects...
now it's time for this 68 f100 with 3 on the tree, this will be fun!!!

Did you say "tractor"? Here's a 90s MTD that got the treatment...
