I have an odd issue. When I close my drivers door the door ajar light on the dash won't go out, and it chimes warning me its open, and my interior and bed light won't got out. I think the ajar switch may need cleaning and is stuck up. Found my wire diagram, but I can't find the switch. I thought it would have a button sticking out that the door pushed when closed, but no. Can anyone tell me were the switch is so I can service it or disconnect it if broken so my batteries don't go dead???

It's on the underside of the lock mechanism inside the door. Some people have had success spraying lubricant down through the latch and somehow managing to get enough of it into the switch.
Oh, its in there. Ok, no problem pulling the panel to fix it. Thanks. So I assume the latch closing is what trips it then? Cause the latch is working correct. Just the switch I intermittent.
Yes, it's a pin-type switch that the latch mechanism actuates. I've never had any luck spraying it through the latch mechanism. I've had to pull the whole mechanism out, remove the switch and lube it. I hit it with contact cleaner while working the pin in and out, then repeat with oil. Did mine about 2.5 years ago and haven't had a repeat failure.
