Hi
It's finally done! My engine is back in service!
After being rebuild i've reassemble everything and start it!
It start on second attempt! It ran for 30 sec and I stop everything to make sure everything was ok.
The only problem is that one of the head bolt is leaking a little bit of coolant.
Only small drips...
I'll check back the torque on each bolt tomorrow.
But do you think this is normal?
Any advice or trick?
Ross, I think I have asked you this before but what sealant do you recommend on the bolt threads?
On my 8BA (which uses bolts, not studs) I use anti-seize. The guys with stud engines usually recommend either Permatex #2 (non-hardening) or GM Part number 012346004, Teflon® Pipe Sealant. 50 cc's cost $18!! But its supposed to be the best.
