Intermittent battery light

I had the exact same problem. Changed alt no help. drove me crazy. What I found was the connector at the alt had an intermittent open in the wiring at the connector. Ford sells a replacement connector and wiring pigtail. I spliced in the 2 wires and everything had been good since.

I think I finally have it solved. Took the truck to a shop that specializes in automotive electric. They drove it till the light came on and it tested as a bad alternator. Took the alternator back to autozone and their test showed it good. They waranteed it for me and I got a new one instead of a reman. Took it out and drove it 20 miles and everything seemed ok. I could only drive a couple of miles before I was getting the light.
