Engine are made of iron, steel, plastic and other materials. They don't need to be abused, worked hard or treated in a manner that pushes the limits of breakage. Engines are not living things that understand what is good or bad. JMHO

Didn't say anything about "pushing the limits of breakage" or abusing...don't put words in my post that are not there. I said this was my experience, personal and professional, many times over. Oil doesn't know when it's worn out or out of protection range, but we sure change it, do we not? Anyways, carry on....
