How about a pic of the warranty plate on the back of the door?

This is the Safety Standards Certification Label, has next to no info printed on it.

Post a pic of the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch.

It's a truck, built by Ford, in the USA in February of 1977. Unless you post the warranty plate, that's about all anyone will have to say since you already did the VIN yourself.

Hey all! I’m new to the site and I’ve inherited this truck from my late uncle. Someone has smashed the passenger window and stolen the motor out of it. Not sure what route to take it now. Possibly put onto a crown Vic frame? (Crown Vic wheelbase is similar I believe) Coyote swap? 7.3L Godzilla swap?? Any how. Looking to get my vin decoded, any help is much appreciated!

Can anyone tell me anything about this unit just by glimpsing a few pictures? I will be looking at the warranty tag on the door when I get home, now that I’ve done some reading on these units

Has a red ford steering wheel, safe to assume that was replaced at some point in its life? Also a red drivers door armrest. Does not appear that this option was added for a passenger arm rest.

This has been sitting here close to 15 years. Was originally an R.M. Truck here in the province of Saskatchewan in Canada. It was parked here at the time, but thief’s have since had their way with the motor and smashed passenger window

Being a ford guy my whole life I know how hard the tailgates are to come by so I was very happy that was still there as well as the front windshield is perfect!!

Here is a couple views of the warranty tag now. From the bit of information I’ve read in the thread I’m thinking the Robin egg blue was painted at a later date than factory original.

I was told this truck was a 64 reading and looking through pics it seems as though it’s a 66. Bad information? What does this tag tell you decoders? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to FTE, as you know that is or looks to be a 1966, and it very cool also. But just so you know you are posting in the 73-79 Ford truck forum. Its all good, it takes a bit to figure out this web site. I am still learning things about it.

If I was not such a newby moderator, I could just move your thread to the correct forum. But I have not figured out how to do that. Maybe some other moderator will do it for us. Or you can just make a new thread over in that forum and have at it.
