The spotlights. Probably not fitting for a build like yours but I think they are kind of cool. My love affair with ‘57’s started when my dad brought home one when I was a kid that was the same green as yours and had spotlights on it. Brings back memories. I also think they are illegal in some states now maybe? Oldbleu might be able to shed some light on that one.

Actually I am torn as I think it is very cool and would love to incorporate it somehow but haven't figured that out just yet. My truck was an old farm truck when I got her, 3/4 ton long box so she has chased some cows for sure.
Bed front panel is in bad shape. I have a long bed that I could grab the panel from but don't want to cut it up if I don't have to. This one is from a super duty bed that I had picked up to grab a donor floor. Looks like I will have a conflict between the driveshaft and this crossmember where the old centre bearing used to hang. Sent my wire harness and ecm off to get dieted down and reprogrammed to suit my build. My tanks inc tank from the bottom for fun
Got her moved into the stall yesterday as old man winter is coming and I wil need a project other than making home brew. I want to get her on the road and take it to Radium BC car Show in Sept next year 2019.
Thank you. I am grateful for what I can do but wish I could do more. I actually do a ton of reading and research and then just go for it, I am mechanically inclined which helps and enjoy building things and doing projects which helps a lot. I have gleaned lots of great info from other guys on this site that's why it's so important that we update our posts and help one another.

I agree on updating progress and lessons learned.
I just purchased my first welder and trying to learn.
Finally got some motivation and time to tackle the bed front panel and floor section. I will still have to deal with a piece of angle at the front and some small rust patches but those will be fairly straight forward. Donor Panel and floor is from a super duty box I picked up for $350.00, it's a late 90's vintage. I ran out of mig gas plus it's Sunday and it's time to roast a sirloin tip on the BBQ
Started to reapir and smooth out my fire wall Metal teck screwed in place Repairing bed end cap corners New bent up piece of 16 gauge that I had laying around.
Got my engine harness back from it's diet and rework, along with my ECM reprogrammed. I sent to a a guy by the name of Brian Tyler Brown from Mity Motorsport in Kansas to do the harness and reprogram with HP tuners. He charges about $600.00 and did a nice job. I found him in the CV Swap forum on facebook. Welding up the seams on the rest of the box. Finishing up the front box panel and support brace. I use a piece of 1x1-1/8" angle iron to support it. I also placed one of the super duty supports just back by the wheels before the frame hump.
I did also add one more in near the back and then a piece of 3/4x3/4x1/8" angle before the back one.
Slowly chipping away at things and hoping to media blast and primer by spring at the latest.
