More progress, started running brake and fuel lines, brake hoses on the rear Installed, brake booster, master cylinder, clutch master mounted. Exhaust manifolds installed, steering column mounted just need to finish the firewall modification and install a new steering u joint. Really like the braided brake hoses but the front has a different thread so I have to order different banjo bolts. I also got the mustang electronic gas pedal mounted.
As for changing your tire size in the front, an 8.5 should fit a 245 nicely although going to a 40 series may be taller than the rear so I would check the tire specs and compare overall height before you make the switch. A 245 35 19 will fill out the wheel and be a little taller than the 235 35 19 which may be what you're looking for but I would still double check overall height. Hope that helps.
Btw do you know how much the crown vic ifs lowered the front of your truck?

For now as this is a budget build and I have just cut 1-1/2 coils out and may change to an aftermarket adjustable coil over later. I am unsure of the exact drop I have but I am looking at a 12" rocker height which I like then I can slide under without jacking and struggling. But if I was to guess I probably have been able to lower it 1-1/2 to 2".
I see. I've read it drops the front 5 inches but yours doesn't look like a 5" drop which is why I asked. Thank you!
I missed what you were saying, I thought you meant how much have I been able to drop the crown Vic from stock crown Vic height. To answer your question and since mine was a 3/4 ton with large wheels I would say it probably has dropped it 4" from where it was originally.
Been plugging away, test fitted the box yesterday and cleaned the garage out now that weather is warming up. First time with the new rear wheels and box on together. D
Ah yes I remember this build. I remember asking you some questions before I started tearing mine apart. Very nice build btw!
have you been working on it lately?

Thank you, It is coming along. I have the fuel tank in, lines connected and fuel regulator in place, I also completed the lines right to fuel rail. I have all brake lines done and fitted to proportioning valve.
Picked up some step plates in AZ when I was down there in May from a guy on Craigslist. I have been repairing fender rust holes and working on getting pieces ready for de-greasing then sandlbasting and epoxy primer and starting final rust repairs and then filler work.
I haven't posted much due to lack of interest in my thread truly and how slow this forum moves compared to others, didn't think anyone was really interested and thought maybe I would update at the end of the build and close it off. People can glean what they want then down the road.

dman: Your project is awesome. There are plenty of us out here in "Fridgeland" who enjoy seeing what others are doing with their trucks. I don't know of a better forum than FTE to keep up with those guys (and gals) who own, drive and build '57-'60 Ford trucks.
I know posting updates can be time consuming, but it is worth the effort and there are more people out there who are looking at your thread than you realize. So...keep the updates coming. Inquiring minds want to know what you are up to!

Oldbleu, appreciate the feedback and thank you. I quite enjoy my build as I flew thru my 64 and had it on the road in just over a year, so I'm trying to savor and do things once on this guy. My 64 I went back and made additions and changes after and don't want to do that this time.
I will see what I have for pics and do some updates soon.
