Hey everyone. Been awhile, but I've gotten great help from people to get my son's 74 f250 up and running. I have one little (I hope) issue that is kinda hanging us up that I am hoping to get a hand with.
We installed aftermarket gauges as well as a painless wiring harness. Everything is working fine except there is no illumination for the gauges. I believe the grounds are fine, as the turn signal indicators are tied into the same ground and working fine.
Each gauge has it's own wiring for illumination, so I merged them to a single connection and then connected them to the blue/red wire in the painless kit that comes from the dimmer switch. It seems like a very simple connection, but no go on the lights. I have not done much fiddling around yet, but I wanted to see if anyone on the forums has and idea before I go hacking up the wires I just put together.
No specific resolution here, but have you checked to see if there is power to the blue/red wire? This would be my first step and you may have already done it.
