I'm getting ready to install a set of Isspro EV2 gauges in my truck. I picked them up through RiffRaff (great service by the way). When he shipped them to me, he through in a dimmer switch & extra wiring harness for the gauge lights. Do I need to dim the EV2 gauge lights? I run my OEM gauges on full bright and only touch the dimmer **** to turn on all the interior lights/cargo lamp.
I wired my light wire directly into the existing illumination wire and I don't see that the gauge is too bright. I would do that first and if it is too bright, then you can disconnect it and put in an additional dimmer resistor.
Yes, I would because the LED backlighting will be much brighter than on your dash.
That's what I was wondering. I don't have the truck handy right now to compare lighting between the two or I would have toyed with that for a bit first.

Sounds like I might be better off test wiring one or two of them in and seeing how I like them at full power before I button everything up. Thank you for the information gentlemen.
Now if the truck was only here so I could get on with this project.
