Backpressure?
I have a 90 150 with 5.0l. I removed the smog pump and associated parts properly. Driven it 8 to 10, 000 miles. Now starting to have exhaust leaks. Would removing smog cause catalytic converters to stop up and cause extra backpressure.

Motor runs great, I installed the spacer plate on the idle air control valve, the best 40 bucks I've spent on it. I found the leak there's a plug in the right side manifold just above where the pipe hooks up looks like it has a 15/16" hex on it but now a hole in it about 3/8" dia. Does anybody know what goes there.
