Which engine does it have? If it's a 5.4 there's plenty of information on this site if you search for it. To my knowledge that seems to dominate most of this forum for these model years.
Yes its a 5.4 , Ive had a few I'm just trying to check it out a bit.
I bought a 6.4 without researching it and I would never have bought it had I known more about it.
Its needing about 12g in repair work.
I've heard the horror stories on the 6.4. My brother had to sell his due to reliability issues. I've been very pleased with my 5.4. I'm at 213K with no internal issues. It's been well maintained to say the least. The deciding factor for me would be miles, service records and how it sounds. As you know any used vehicle has a certain amount of risk involved. Best of luck.
Truck was pretty clean , I couldn't drive it much before I bought it.
Got about 10 miles down the road and the tensioner/idler pulley started squealing, I kept going and in another few miles the manifold started leaking, it was really making a noise
Sounded good on the flat but going up hills with the exhaust leaking loud and the idler squealing it was nerve wracking.
Got it home in one piece anyway 150 miles.
