Hey guys, finally found my dream truck, a 2001 7.3 excursion. I had a 95 F-250 with the 7.3 about 5 years ago but had to get rid of it due to starting a family, well now our 3rd boy is about to be born so I had to get something bigger. Found a limited excursion with 225k miles for 10,900. It has a leveling kit and a 6 position chip on it. Runs great! I have a few questions on where to find some parts
1. The interior lights and covers are gone, ordered the LED kit but can't find the covers
2. The interior trim on the back window is gone.
3. The CD player is shot so I am wanting to find a double din with navigation and back up cam. Any recommendations?
4. Going to get a intake and exhaust for it but am torn between Banks and the AFE
5. The bumper is pretty rough so looking for a cheaper option than the ranch hand or road armour. Any ideas?
6. The rear door comes open randomly. Guessing it's a spring on the latch, anybody know how hard of a fix that is?
Thank you so much!!!
Congrats on the Ex! I am sure that the awesome folks here will be along shortly to help out with some of your questions.
About your bumper, there is a recent post on this thread showing the newer 2015 bumper from an F250 installed on an Ex, and it looks Awesome! Not sure where you are from (please add this information to your profile) but there were two brand newish 2015 bumpers on Craig's list here in my area yesterday. This could be a quick and easy way to update the look of your rig.
Lastly, please read the below and consider yourself warned
Hahaha yeah I have a 2014 jeep and a 1994 lightning. Everything is expensive! I'm here in southeast Missouri.
Very excited about the new rig. The 7.3 is more my style lol
Wow. I have some of them. Let me look around in the garage and take stock of exactly what I have. I can likely get the rest of them as well for pretty cheap if you want. I have a local yard (The Gold Mine) that has them all available at a reasonable price. I am due for a trip out there anyway.

Awesome! Thank you! Yeah not sure why previous owner decided to yank ALL of them before selling
Yeah I love it so far, I haven't got to enjoy it much since I got it, my 2 year old got a heart transplant on Christmas day and we have been in the hospital in STL since September. So I picked it up, drove it home and headed back to STL lol.
Thank you guys for helping. I love Ford Forums. Been a member of NLOC since 04
Congratulations and welcome. USCG is correct, You will always find something to buy for your X. The 2001 X is a great vehicle. Nothing like a 15 year old vehicle that keeps getting better with age. Gotta love the 7.3...
