Same for me only east Texas. I wore the same cloths for 35 Texas degrees as I did for 10 below in Alaska.

For me it was -40. Fairbanks AK, during arctic survival school.

Funny what can freeze at that temperature if your not careful.

This is very true. More lost folks and tourists are killed, I'm certain, by hypothermia when temps are well above freezing than 10F or Zero.

The main reason is simply because they get wet, or their clothes do, then they die. When it's 20F and calm, south facing cliffs can be downright comfortable if the sun comes out. All things being equal, dry and cold is a lot better than freezing rain and slush.
