I like both of the first two emblems, and the ones 1985 Bronco posted. I am not a fan of the GM style emblems; they look too modern for this era of truck.
I have to agree, the period correct emblems should look blockier (more squared off, not smooth and aerodynamic). But, I do like the looks of them.
The Wisconsin Edition would just be a pile of rust stuck to the side of the fender.
Here's a thought...there are companies that make special order badges for law enforcement, ems, security, etc. They may fit your size requirements as you didn't want them to be too large. You could choose the text and 3M foam adhesive tape would work.
I am curious where exactly did those badges go I think they are too long to be mounted like the XLT badge that went under the 150. Were they mounted lower on the front fenders or on the tailgate?
My granddaddy had an '84 F150 Texas Lariat. Best I remember those badges went on the rear fenders just in front of the taillights.
Like this one- 1984 F150 Texas Lariat Ed with Pro Flo EFI
Guess I will have to focus on finding some generic Texas Edition emblem that can be used.
I do like how the GM one I found has a dash emblem that would fit perfectly above the radio. I just hate how GM used a star for the letter x. The round lawman star is 3 1/16" diameter which will not allow it to fit between the molded lines on the bezel.
I saw that, that's for the new Ford trucks. Didn't find dimensions either. I have seriously thought about 3D printing, that way can be scale to dimensions I need.
