I bought this as a project and is fixing it up. I am buying a valve cover dress up kit and putting on new valve cover gaskets. I was shopping around and found that most valve covers do not match what I have. Where the oil is poured into the valves, it seems to be much higher than what is on others. There is also a hose attached to the area where the oil is poured with the other side left wide open; No filter or anything.
Can someone help me out with these two questions? Pictures are attached.
That's just the breather hose on the valve cover, you can attach a small filter to it.
It shouldn't matter for you what valve covers you get as long as they are for your engine and not too tall, that they interfere with brackets, etc. The height of the oil pour spout shouldn't matter. If you get new valve covers that don't have a breather tube sticking out of the cap/area, you can get a cap that is also a filter.

Thanks, I figured it just needed a filter. Regarding the valve covers, mine have one hold each. The ones mainly for sale have two holes on each of them. I need to make sure the holes match right?
