Ok gang...aesthetics question...where have guys mounted your CB radios in your 97 and up F trucks? I've got a manual tranny with the bench seat...wondering where others have their equipment mounted?

Just under the center of the dash looks pretty pimp. They usually come with the mounting bracket to put it there. The other spot that would be cool is the ceiling in the center as close to the front as possible.
Just curious, what CB model did u pick up ?

Thanks I'll post a pic when i'm done...it's the same old Uniden model I've had since college...I don't even know where to begin to pick up a new one around here.

Here's a pic of where I've mounted my CB, perfect spot to mount if you've got a standard. I documented the whole instalation, pic's and all. Drop me a line if you'd like me to send you a copy of the instalation.

Nice install.
Here's what a friend of mine did with some of his equipment. It wasn't in a Ford, but you could probably fabricate something similar...

Mine is not a F-150, but I thought you could see anyway. I wish I had a pic of my father's Ranger - it is done under the dash and without the console like in my Explorer. He removed the ashtray and passenger airbag key and made a plate to go there. The CB is attached to it. Here is mine...

What to do with a stick and no headliner? I really don't to drill holes just to see the them later If I ever deside to sell it later. I don't want to spend the money on a new one I got all of the stuff to do it free from my dad. They have ones that are controled by the walkie -talkie but to much money. I thinking I should fab up a mount were the cup holder goes just in front of the bench seat inthe middle in a verticle postion but looking for a company that has already done it.

wow I was wrong I found a good price on them at http://www.electronicsoutpost.com/75wxst.htm $93 dollars sweet I 'll break a little over a hundred with shipping but I can live with that for this thing local cb shop wanted 179.99 you can mount these things any where
