transfer case output seals
I need to replace my transfer case output seals in my 78F250 351M NP205. I replaced the clutch then refilled the fluids, gear oil comes out of my front output shaft seal, YAY!!!
I got the yoke nut sizes from the advanced search:

Question, has anyone used NAPA seals. My local store will stock the NOS 21211 seal by the end of the day. Just seeing how the seals performed.
Also, my NP 4-spd trans has always been very noise when its in gear, driving down the road but there is no load from the engine accelerating and no load from the drivetrain from decelerating. Is this normal/will something like LUCAS gear oil help this out?
Something I have learned is they have what you need in stock 95% of the time after you get the "behind the counter with your old part relationship"
The computer pulls the wrong seals nearly every time but they will generally have one that matches exactly the same (advanced has an entire aisle for seals)
As for your question about the noise, I have yet to ride in a completely quiet dent. I have a rattle that comes from the bell around the bottom of the stick.. Generally as long as your universal joints are tight, transmission is full of oil and not screaming you should be okay.. I believe that the 4 speeds start making a fuss when they have had the hell beat out of them.. They are near bulletproof until the right hey y'all guy gets in them but it sounds like a minuscule issue in your case..
