Timing question
So forgive me im new to timing on vehicles..So i know that my f150 93 5.0 states 10deg BTDC.. So if you advance to 12deg will there be an increase in gas mileage? Also what happens when it is going ATC ? I went ahead and painted all the numbers and marks so when i go up to check timing i can see them easier. Im just curious about all this before i start checking and adjusting.

You don't want to go anywhere near ATC. I always advance my engines as far as I can without the engine pinging. Don't know about fuel mileage improvement but it will help on power, not greatly but it does help. Also make sure you unplug the spout before checking or setting timing.
