Question Timing Question

I Have a 1996 F150XL with a 300 I6. I have looked under the hood for the emmissions sticker, but all the stickers under there are rubbed off. Does anyone know what my timing should be? Also if your timing is a bit off, would that affect your mileage? Thanks in Advance.

Should be 10° with the SPOUT connector removed. If the timing is not advanced enough, mileage could suffer, and if timing is too far advanced and the engine is pinging, fuel mileage could also suffer.
