My 07 E350 is just blowing cold air in the back, no heat. The front heat works fine. I never had a van with rear heat so I am not sure where to start looking. Could it be controls or some kind of valve somewhere? Any help would appreciated.

First check the position of your front vents
AC High, AC low and vent ---> Rear blows cold
Floor and Defrost (not sure about defrost)---> Rear blows hot.
Mine's a '94 E-150 so none of this may apply but the heating system is full flow all the time. No valves to block flow but scale and trash could certainly could. The rear heat on mine is "Tee 'd" off the supply and return hoses at the front heater's hose area. Perhaps a reverse flush of the rear heater would clean and restore operation.
Does air blow from the ceiling or floor when the controls are set to floor and full heat? If from the ceiling, you're missing a vacuum signal to the rear air box, the vacuum actuator is shot or the diverter flap is jammed. If from the floor, you're not getting coolant flow to the rear hearer core.
Update-I thought I should report back. We have 2 vans the same year. Mine is extended, and my partners is not. That is the one with the rear heat problems. I went at it a few times, looking for problems and trying different things, but never found the cause. The other day I tried again but didn't see anything. When I got in the van the heat was turned off. I put it on heat and floor and it worked fine. So I am not sure how it got fixed. But for now it is working. I do appreciate the help from everyone. I wish I could say how I fixed it but have no idea. Anyway, thanks again for the help.
