Just bought my f250 and trying to diagnose the power seats. Both the drivers and passengers seats will not move forward or backwards. All other functions are working perfectly. The motor is not engaging in either direction. The tracks are not jammed. I'm thinking its a switch issue but what are the chances both have the same issue. Is there a way to test the switches? Does someone have a wiring diagram showing pin outs of each wire and their function?
If you haven't already done so, I'd unplug the connections one by one, clean them, and reconnect them. I agree that it's odd that both seats would just have this one function dead.
I unplugged the heater on my passenger seat because that would always turn on by itself.
