p0171 extremely high idol
I have a 2003 f150 heritage addition and the code p0171 it now idols in park at 2000rpm and when in drive not moving at 1100 rpm any one have any ideas I am not overly mechanical just want to figure out what is wrong with truck thanks also forgot to say it has the 4.6 L engine

I was looking to see if there was any cracked hoses but culd not find any it also smokes real bad from the passenger side in the engine I had a code for p0171 my neghbior is a mechanic and is wondering if the intake manifold gasket is done I think that's what he said we are going to look at it on Friday
