transmission slipping 2011 f250 gas 4x4

bought last year with 65k miles, now has 105k. sometimes when accelerating it slips for a second like a manual would if you jabbed the clutch while pulling. i had the 100k trans flush done. i noticed it a couple times before but more frequent recently. how concerned should i be?

I'd be very concerned. Have you checked the fluid level?

I just had my fluid changed in my 2012. I immediately noticed a bit of slipping from reverse to forward at times. Took it back to the shop that did the change and they pulled 3 litres out of it saying it was overfull. It slipped again once about a week later. I checked the fluid level and its still overfull. I am going to a different tranny shop now to get them to check and probably remove more oil.

Since you're concerned, walter white, I'd recommend making an appointment at the dealership to have your truck inspected. Be sure to mention the circumstances under which you typically experience the slipping. Come back and tell us how things go. I'll hang around this thread to see when you have any news.

Did you have the flush done at the dealer?
