Good evening Tom, how are things in Rhode Island today, we had some rain and was overcast all day.. the brackets and pulleys on this pos Ford motor are driving me crazy and costing me a fortune in unusable parts...
They don't line up, bought a vintage air sure fit kit for this pickup and didn't want to spend the big bucks on their front runner so they sent a bracket for the compressor and had to order the additional bracket for the steering pump. The pump doesn't fit the bracket because I have a newer style , I also had to buy a 2 groove pulley for the water pump under their recommendation but now can't find a 2 groove pulley for the crank shaft to line up. These parts were considered special order and can't send them back and if I could I'd be out all the shipping charges which would just about equal the cost of the parts so it's cheaper to throw the parts in a corner and walk away. It's been one frustrating day but did find a place that I'm going to give a call too tomorrow which may end up costing me around another thousand bucks but end my misery hopefully...fingers crossed. Thinking I should have put in a Chevy after all..
